Well, a lot has gone on this summer. I have a new pen-pal, Jayne. She lives in Huntington, and is the exact replica of what a child between Deirdre and Alex would be (that's not weird at all...) I saw Beauty and the Beast performed live tonight- it was cool. I'm sort of mellow right now and don't really feel like writing, but I have this terrible habit of ostracizing things from my life that I ignore for too long, so I figured I'd try not to let my DA account be my next victim of that.

So I'm looking into many a college. Brown University and MIT are both up there on the list. How're you guys in my grad. class doing on college searching? There's this site that I'd recommend- PrincetonReview.com. It's really resourceful and free (and I can maneuver it, so it's PCRS (PC-retard syndrome) proof, as well).

My head aches a bit; I'm probably tired (it's like 1 am). So I haven't really been myself lately. It's weird, but I've recently been...well, I guess there's no other way to put it other than to say not myself. I've been thinking about a lot of stuff. I was talking to Nicky last night about old things, and it stirred up some memories I haven't thought about in a very long time. Not sure how I'm handling it. It is strange, though, how I can look at myself now and look at myself then and see what a different person I am. (geeze, this journal is all about me...)

Well, I have a lot to tell people about GHA- the peak of the academy was raising about $9000 to go toward the completion of a school in Araing, a remote, tribal village located in South Sudan. I made a lot of friends there, too (like Jayne). I also got to know Amanda (Baker) better. She tried to teach me how to use FaceBook, a site which totally confuses me. I've given up on it already. DA was difficult for me... that says something.

Well, maybe I'll post some pictures up here from GHA. They're artsy...sort of. You could say they have that sort of retro/earthy feel to them. I'll be gone over the next few days (family reunion, ugggghhhhhhhhh............) Nothing against my family, I just wish...the place where we met was bigger...or something...so that I wasn't stuck...close by everyone... They can just rattle the nerves sometimes.
